In Vogue - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week MBFW

Some 40 years after the first SL hit the road, Mercedes launched the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to embrace the company's long-running relationship with international style.

To celebrate the last MBFW event of this season, we explore the people on either side of the lens who were drawn to a Mercedes classic, after a fashion.

Fashion designers especially have been drawn to the early SL models. While Karl Lagerfeld smashed his 190SL, Ralph Lauren (above) has safely kept both a 300SL Gullwing and Roadster.

More than a model, race-car driver, showjumper and entertainment personality Jodie Kidd (below) poses at the world's first speedway, Brooklands Motor Racing Circuit.
