1970 Ford Capri MK3 Group 1 Race Car - Ex-Alan Mann
1970 Ford Capri MK3 Group 1 Race Car - Ex-Alan Mann
We are pleased to offer this Ex-Alan Mann 1980 Ford Capri MK3 Group 1 race car, Fully Restored and Rebuilt in 2017, including a Ric Wood Engine in 2019. The car was purchased in 2017, where it featured Autocar/Kamasa Livery. It has since been returned to the traditional Alan Mann livery in Red/Gold and looks stunning.
Originally built in 2007/2008 for the use of Henry Mann; Alan Mann racing set about by using an original 3.0S Donor Vehicle. The car then won the Masters Historic Championship in 2008, thus getting an invite to the 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting, with the Gerry Marshall Trophy, steered by John Young and Emanuelle Pirro. The car climbed to 2nd place, causing a viewing spectacle. It then featured again in the 75th Members meeting, paired with Steve Soper and John Young, claiming 3rd place overall in the Gerry Marshall.
It was then fully rebuilt in 2017/2018 and used sparingly since then within the HRDC. Eligible for Goodwood Members Meeting moving forwards, this Capri is a race winning car with the right capability and ready to go!
Worldwide Delivery can be organised.
